If you haven’t already heard, this morning Frank Camorra and Michael James opened the doors to the new MoVida venue: the MoVida Bakery in South Yarra. The bakery specialises in a wide range of breads from sourdough to spelt, donuts, empanadas, gourmet pies, sausage rolls and a lavazza coffee trade.
The bakery will be open from 7:30 am till 4:30 pm on weekdays, and 7:30 am till 5 pm on weekends. It will operate as both a retail cafe and for wholesale. It can be found at 3 Tivoli Rd in South Yarra, tucked behind the Como Centre and off Toorak rd.
Michael’s impresssive resume includes the likes of the Bourke St. Bakery in Sydney and Baker D. Chirico in Melbourne. Michael has extensive pastry experience in London including Toms Kitchen and Pied a Terre.
“I’m very excited to work more closely with Michael, but I really can’t wait to taste that first pie. The Bakery and central kitchen gives us an opportunity to just make delicious things we like to eat and sell them through our different venues, or for people to take home,” said Frank.
Frank will spend the next month or two baking away in the kitchen.
